About Us

mintaad is an Arab venture working towards utilizing relevant technologies to support and enhance access to educational resources. Our long term aim is to support literacy, and therefore encourage individual empowerment. mintaad realized that owning resources is only one way to have access to them. To that effect, the company was established with a clear motto: educate without owning. The founders have articulated values that motivate mintaad and govern our business practices:

  1. We are passionate about reading.

  2. We aim to make reading fun, easy, and affordable.

  3. We are keen to improve the culture of reading in the Arab world and we believe that the best way to start this is with children.

  4. We want to make quality books in both Arabic and English more accessible and more affordable.

  5. We want to promote a love of reading; to make it fun, interactive, and a lifelong habit

  6. We want to make the process of finding books faster and more convenient.

Our aim is for people in the Arab world to benefit from mintaad’s vast library. Anyone can rent books that will be delivered to their doors, after which they will be picked up and exchanged for other books. This will reduce clutter at home and will promote education for a fraction of the current cost.

mintaad will ensure that the experience for you and your children is safe and interactive by:

  1. Giving your children control over their own wish lists, but still making sure you keep the final say over what is delivered.

  2. Letting children share their opinions and thoughts about books they've read with other children on our website.

  3. Encouraging your children to track their reading history, so that each one can see a list of all the books that they have read.

  4. Making it easy to select books (this is done by categorization and short cuts such as searches through age group or subject category).

  5. Carefully reviewing each book to decide its age and content fit (then we can place it under the appropriate age group and relevant subject category).

  6. Suggesting books based on your child's age, gender, and the books they are currently browsing.
