In 2001 through the efforts of Dr. Suad Mohamad bin Amer, the Breast Cancer Awareness Program was born. Her inspiration guided the development of numerous activities and workshops within schools, universities and women’s centers.

 A volunteer committee was assembled consisting of dedicated specialist.  These individuals were selected for their different areas of expertise in medicine, psychology, physical therapy, etc.

And now, with God’s Blessing, the Zahra Breast Cancer Association has been established in the year 2007 – 1428 by the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Haifa Bint Faisal Bin Abdulaziz, together with  a dedicated board of volunteers.

Zahra Breast Cancer Association endeavors to actively participate in the efforts of breast cancer fighting and eradication within Saudi Arabia, so that present and future generations can lead a peaceful and safe life unthreatened by this diseas

Mission:

The Mission of Zahra Breast Cancer Association is to increase and spread awareness among women across the country for early detection, prevention and treatment of the disease, and cooperate with women diagnosed with breast cancer on a step-by-step basis for treatment and ultimate recovery, God willing Goals:

Direct breast cancer patients to specialized healthcare centers for receiving treatment and necessary services.

Support scientific studies and researches which aim to increase public awareness of the epidemiology and etiology of breast cancer in women of Saudi Arabia; using the findings and recommendations of such research studies to expand awareness of this disease in our society. 

Develop Saudi capabilities and cadres specialized in breast cancer research and implement training, educational and scholarship programs.

Create good relationships with relevant professional and specialists who can cooperate with the Association and participate in its activities, in accordance with established rules and regulations
