PROFILEOrganization Name:ORGANIZATION FOR RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICAIntroduction:Organization for Relief and Development in Africa (ORDA) Is an International non-governmental Organization, was established in 27.03.2003, with a core group of professionals, to address the humanitarian needs and promote Social developments, in order to create Positive environment and develop society, Politically, Socially and Economically.ORDA is aimed to respond the humanitarian Emergencies, disaster prevention and Promote human rights, health, education, democracy and good governance, Capacity building and Social Development, Child and Youth Development, Protection of the Environment and Agriculture Development.Our History:Organization for Relief and Development in Africa was established in Mogadishu, Somalia in 2003 to address the needs of the Somali Children affected by conflict after the fall of Muhammad Said Barra’s government and the state’s anarchic collapse which the country let to become host mass destruction of public and private sectors since 1991.The organization also registered in Sweden, the same year as a private non-governmental Organization, called BISTÅNDSFÖRENING FÖR BARN I SOMALIA (Aid Association for Children in Somalia), the name was changed to Organization for Relief and Development in Africa, in 2012 and expanded its Work and geographical focus to the Punt-land and Somaliland States of Somalia. During the past 10 years, the Organization has successfully implemented over 15 projects with communities living in the Banadir, South and Central regions of Somalia. The organization has partnered with several local and international NGOs and has built a very positive reputation as a reliable and transparent organization.ORDA aim was to Provide home based care for Orphans and Children’s from poor families, and to meet their basic personal and Social needs to be Safe, feel cared and Educate, responding Emergencies such as Wars, Hurricanes, Famines, Floods and Promoting Human Rights, Health Education, and create employment opportunities and income generation projects for Youth, Women, IDPs and poor rural community to reduce the level of poverty.

Our Objectives and Goals1. To Promote Human Rights, Democracy, and Good Governance.2. To respond emergencies such as wars, hurricanes, famines, floods.3. To protect and save lives from Natural and Man Made Disaster.4. To improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities.5. To ensure sustainable agriculture, food security and Income Generation.6. To provide home based care for orphans and children from poor families.7. To enhance education and skill training opportunities for youth and adults.8. To advocate for responsible utilization and management of natural resources.9. To work for uplifting poor rural/village people for their overall development.10. To encourage the community for sustainable development and mobilize among them.11. To provide help under health & nutrition services for women and children in IDPs camps.12. To propagate the need for tree plantation / pollution control and environmental awareness.13. To support vulnerable groups to facilitate their full access to basic and fundamental social needs.14. To closely monitor human atrocities and abuses of the children in the conflict zone and avoid those problems of Child soldering, Child Exploitative labor, and Child abuse.15. To eradicate the cultural barrier for women education, political participation and decision-making policy.16. To organise forums, seminars, camps etc. for spreading good living habits, moral values, and methods of developing self-confidence etc. and to create centres throughout the country for the above activities.17. To undertake any other work or assignment which may be for the general welfare and Development of the people?18.
